Hi Joe , I used BLO on the Back Board and that gave it a Nice Tone . I haven't used BLO in a long time . Went with the Dark Edge to give it a Frame look and Contrast . Again letting my Imagination run . Thank You my Friend. Merle

Haven't started yet. Customer is ordering a brass coupler to allow the carving to be unscrewed from the stick, so I have to wait for the coupler to get here. Then I can drill the holes in the block of wood, and begin carving.

Hi Claude , I made a Stick years ago with a Brass Coupler from Treeline for the same reason that you are going to do . It was the only Stick that I made that Failed . It Broke at the Connection . The Coupler didn't break , it broke thru the sides of the Stick . Keep that in mind and make the Stick Diameter as Big as possible and still look good . Looking forward in seeing the Finished Stick .
