  • Time to get started on the kid's Christmas

Had to laugh when I type the head, one of the "kids" is about to retire .

Between us Pam and I have six kids & for the past few years, I always carve something for them at Christmas time. This year my old thought well is dryer than ∙∙∙∙an old man's thought well. I decided to just do a different character for each one of them. Pam has gracefully agreed to come out of retirement and do the painting. Makes me feel like Herb. She probably way until I'm all gone. If you notice my signature on the carving it has A "P" in the upper loop of the "B"

This is the first one4x6x1" BW I stain the background with my mixture for trying to get it to look like old Barnwood.

Anyway, C&C's are looked forward to

Well six of them should keep you out of trouble for awhile. Nice law dog you’ve made there.

You're off to a good start Joe, ..... 5 more to go . I find it harder each year to come up with something new for the "kids" ( mine are 48 & 51 , but they'll always be kids to me). Then there's the 4 grandchildren and the wife........... geeeze!.. I'd better get started as well...lol
If you're looking for me, you'll find me in a pile of wood chips somewhere...

ED, Merle, Herb, Claude & Randy, thanks to you all for the comments. Herb, I told Pam what you said & I got the big eye roll .

Well, starting last Wed. was the start of three weeks of solid family visits. So I'm thinking my carving is going to be impacted considerably, caved awhile night so I wouldn't get in withdrawal symptoms

Terrific gift that I’m sure they will all appreciate because of all the love and effort that goes into making them!

That looks wonderful, I like it as is, don't see a reason to paint.

GFP, the first thing is to try and get Pam back into painting, and also because it is from us to the kids, she'll be a part of each gift. Thanks for the gracious comment
