Got started on a couple new ones

Update on the "hands and OH THIS WOOD! After I got the hands cut out on the 21st of last month it has been a very slow chisel and file project. This material is so caustic to me that even filing it has a strong smell and I have to wear my real mask all the time with ventilation going.
Also one side of it as I chisel or file the wood is chipping or scaling away and I have to patch, peeling like a bark under it and the fingers?

I have to sand enough material off my extra to have enough to patch and mix it in with my glue to fill in, oddly enough once I sand it out. It looks like a blended part of the grain. I really want this to come out ,, or cut a new piece of lumber ?
Oh Gerrr, I didn't mention very fine dust did I? it is like Baby Powder, And every where. SO far here is the update. IMG_1369.JPG IMG_1370.JPG Shakin.jpg The fingers have been patched and this stuff is so hard, Oh h,,,ll why complain anyway, It's just fun right And who said , Folk Art!!

Thanks all for your encouragement.. 4 hours yesterday and 4.5 today, Coffee time and I need a nap!! Sometimes doncha think your spending too0 much time one one thing. But wait how many days till Christmas? There is still time .. And I am going to geter done as was said. Mallet and chisels away.........

Worked on the finger nails and lengths yesterday and part of today . The knuckles are getting better ??? except mine, old breaks and frozen ones are showing up at the wrong time now. Occasionally my knuckle's lock up and ,,oh it's just the buggers. But I will get it , this wood polishes real nice I did a sample. Thanks for yur comments too.
