  • Just Carving~22

This is how the carving turned out that I had mentioned in an earlier post "Alway A New Challenge" about having 6 growth rings per inch. 4 x 4-1/2 x 1" basswood: background the two-part texture I use*, painted with acrylic paints, Antiqued, & finished with Feed-N-Wax.

*when I mixed up the tannins solution, I only added 30ml water to the 1 teas. of the power of the tannins instead of 300ml, found how to mix it to get dark black instead of a Barnwood grayish

Anyway, C&Cs are always looked forward to

    Hi Joe
Another classic piece mate Nicely done and a great save on the wood that wasn't behaving as well as it could have.

I'm really impressed with your "Just Carvin'" series, Joe. Are you using ideas from Pinterest or creating your own from scratch? It really doesn't matter. You're getting very good, whatever the source.
