  • A not so little guy and bird

So I'm back to carving after a way to long hiatus. Like 2 years. I have no idea where the time went either. But now I'm semi-retired so I have more time to work on the honey-do-list and get back to carving whilst "I'm waiting for the paint to dry honey"...

The little guy was a bigger guy who was staring at me for 2 years. Unfinished and unhappy. So I started whittling away at him and now he is almost ready for paint.

The bird is whittled from a 1/8 x 3/16 basswood stick, and will be perched on his hat pecking a hole or 2 in it.

Having fun with this one. Anyway, just thought I'd share again. Been too long. Hope everyone is doing well!

That's going to be a hoot! Wow, wait a minute! Woodpeckers don't hoot. Love the feet on your little man!
