  • Trying some Elf ornaments

Watched the Mark Gargac videos on Woodcarving academy and thought I'd give some elves a shot.
The small guys are 1" square x 4" and the big guy is 1 1/4" square x 6".
I'm on vacation this week so I hope to carve a few of these and maybe a Santa or two and get them painted up by the weekend.

Great job on the elves!.... if you finish them and carve a couple of Santa's you're not going to have a lot of spare time for anything else during your vacation...
If you're looking for me, you'll find me in a pile of wood chips somewhere...

Well, that's exactly the plan!! Dusting of snow in the forecast today, and colder than typical this week.
Knocked out most of the honey-do's over the weekend so now it's time to make some chips.

Have some clean-up and final detailing to go on these Santa's.
Bag of toys Santa I've carved a few times. Originally from a Doug Linker tutorial.
Ornament is another from Mark Gargac and wood carving academy.
