  • Sometimes things just look 'different'...

Working on this little guy the last couple days, and I've glanced over and happened to 'see' him in poses that have no relation to what the finished product will be...

He does NOT have 'Chuck Norris super-karate-chop action'.

Nor has he appeared on any American Bandstand dance contests...

Sorry, it just made me laugh. Sometimes I worry about myself. Might be the second week of Covid, I dunno... ;-)

Maybe he needs some skis and ski poles. It is a fine carving as is.

Nice work! I agree with a pair of skis and ski poles. You can easily make skis by using popsicle sticks - soak in hot water for an hour or so, then bend one end into a curve using a piece of scrap and a couple of clamps. Depending on size of the carving, ski poles can be toothpicks or bamboo skewers, with small piece of thin wood for the basket.

Nice attractive carving and also like the idea of skis.

Ha! I've done a couple skiers, this guy is into a different sport... :-)

I'll get him posted up in 'caricatures' tomorrow. I hope his yodeling doesn't keep us awake...

Even a walkin' stick would give him some purpose. Nice job!
