Jim, well done. I wanna do one of those in the worst way, still working my way up the ladder to gain confidence in my ability to do one. Hopefully soon.

Thanks everyone. I can't wait to give it to my sister, (May 7th). She really likes the seascape motif. She already has a couple of my inlays from previous birthdays, so this should be a nice surprise since I've only recently started carving again, (I haven't done any real carving in years).
Again, thanks for the compliments, (keeps me going)!
I am with Cliff on this one, I have wanted to do an old salt, being an old salt myself, in the worse way...I have the Shipley book, and like Cliff confidence is the only block!....great project and sure sis will enjoy it!...Dennis
Marci, the name of the book is, "Whitling the old Sea Captain", by Mike Shipley. Dennis, Cliff, He's not so hard to make. You can do it!! He took me a while but it really wasn't that tough.
