Very nicely done! The copper ribbon really adds to the piece. I look forward to the next one.

Very impressive result with your finished carving, Doc. Carving the female face....or even a male face without a beard covering it all up (LOL) is very intimidating for many of us. I know it is for me. Great job on this project. I can't wait to see what you do with the next one.

Again you all for your compliments, they are very encouraging and much appreciated.

Doris thank you for your suggestions and certainly at some time in the future I will try an finish my previous attempts. Now that I have a better feel for carving and using the various tools I might be able to salvage them.

As for my next project I have already posted the initial stages WIP under the title Classic European Woman.

I am just as anxious as you are to see how this project will come out.

Doc, this really came out beautiful... you captured the features just right. What did you use for the ribbon ? Skip
