Doc, very nice Santas. I especially like the face of the fisherman. Merry Christmas.

started a topic Santa Gone Fishin

    Santa Gone Fishin

    Adapted from Ross Oar
    Basswood with acrylic paint
    Base- Mahogany
From Ross Oars Book on Santas
    Early American Santa
Original was carrying a lantern in his left hand and a stick over his right shoulder.

I made this for my son who is an Ensign aboard the USN Green Bay.
I am thinking of carving an officers hat to put on him as an option.

The final photo is a group photo of my Santas before they shipped off to their respective destinations. Missing from the photo is my Chinese Santa which should be finished before Christmas I hope.
