I have never worked with bark before and the piece just seemed to have castle written all over it.

That is truly an excellent castle. If you have only been carving since March I think we are going to be in for some real treats from you in the future. Keep up the great carvings and post some more pic's when you can.

Very cool, my younger brother makes quite a few bark castles and even adds little draw bridges.

I have only tried carving bark once so far. I must have read my piece wrong for it didn't turn out like this. You definitely read and carved this one right. NIce work. Thanks for sharing.

You all are so kind in your remarks, thank you. This was very easy to carve and didn't take much more than a v tool and a couple of gouges. Again, thanks a bunch and your feedback is encouraging.
