Eve - the fun part

The face detail is the fun part for me, so She's getting close.

These two bust will be all natural finish with only a clear coat of
Deft, they are Red and White Cedar (the Red cedar is found wood).

The white cedar heads will fit either base just in case I mess up
Eves head I'll have a backup for her. (wish I had one, mine looks like 10 miles of bad road)

Both ladies are looking good and I am looking forward to seeing the finished pieces. I know what you mean about exchanging heads. I am a fan of Don Williams and each morning am reminded of the lyrics about looking in the mirror in total surprise.......well, here I stop because there sure aint "no hair on my shoulders"..........at least from the top of my head; but, there is "age in my eyes" and everywhere else!

I put a coat of lacquer sanding sealer on the red cedar last night after sanding up to 1500 grit and it really made the colors pop. The head in the picture is for the other bust but I'm using it to work out the details I want to use on the head for this piece. (mostly the hair, I can't use my burner on the clay..hehe)
