she is turning out beautifully! I LOVE the cat approoving of your choice! I admit I skimmed the images and will go back and read the rest of your text soon, but I am wondering if she is a woman...or a tree goddess? She looks very pagan and righteous. I like how you saw her in that chunk with the cross section. Very feminine in grace and poise. Great job. Thank you for sharing!

Thanks guys! I just posted some more pics on the blog. I think her face is coming along. I don't know if she will be a generic female, bit I was going for the "tree spirit" or wood nymph.

Another post on my blog. Tonight I finished the eyes and hair as well as most of the sanding. Depending on how motivated I am tomorrow, I might nitpic sand her some more and begin painting. See all tha pics at
