    Re: *****in berry sticks

Those have a neat look to them. Nothing stays in my hair either. I'm thinking there MUST be other uses for them. Maybe hang some other pieces from them and it becomes a decorative piece for the wall....what else...hmmm...
Sounds like you had some great family fun with the hair stick project, you can't beat that!

Thanks Keoma! And was that a hint that you would like a pair? That could be arranged! LOL

Hi Fred and thank you! I just twist my hair up and push it through my hair. Kind of messy looking how I do it, but it keeps my hair from getting into things!

Thanks Hal, a knife handle would be nice. The kids always seem like they think I'm neat! lol I really enjoy being with them and we goof around and do lots of art projects together. Grandma is a big kid!

Hi Kris, I'm glad you like them! My husband and I want to make handles for our kitchen cabinets kind of on the same order as the hair sticks some day. First we have to mill up the lumber to build the cabinets though! LOL

                Re: *****in berry sticks

I like those sticks, Sharon. I've made a few sets (from my old oak whiskey barrel wood, mostly), and they've gone over well when I can find somebody who uses them. Maybe I should make a bunch and see if I can peddle them at a local craft show.

Nice tip on the drywall sanding sheets. I have to make a trip to Home Depot this afternoon anyway . . .

Hi Jim and thank you! Make some sticks and try it! I bet people would buy them.-- Drywall sheets are great for first sanding steps.

Hi Sharon, The hair picks are a great idea! I can't use them because of short hair all the time! But, I will definitely use the spoon that you made! It is so pretty and sturdy! Might have to invest in one for our Daughter as she loves to cook! I went to your etsy sight and checked out all your neat things! Very nice! Who would ever think of drywall for sanding?! Thank you!

Thanks Dorothy and Art! I'm glad you like the spoon too! I think the drywall sheets might be to coarse for bark, but they sure are good for hardwoods.

Daniel, thank you for checking them out! I bet your girls would love some sticks that dad carved! I ended up making more of these and I gave 2 to my daughter today. She's going to attach beads or something to them.
