  • Nuts!

The Mini-Santas were a lot of fun. So, I was thinking can I do anything else with them. This usually gets me in trouble, and sure enough it did. This is dedicated to my friend Forrest, aka Tnartist. He does a lot of little things, and well I was looking at some walnut shells and . . . .

Oh come on - You gotta be nuts to carve that small.
Sorry for the outburst - I was a little shell shocked!

I always thought Santa was bigger than that! What a great ornament to hide on a tree!

Come on Steve...now I've seen everything! Now you've taken up carving 'minis' like Forrest! Pretty soon I'll have to start changing the view size on my computer to '200'!!! Ha! Your 'little' Santa is a real cutie and no, I'm not even going to try and carve one of those guys... All joking aside, thanks for sharing your little guy with us, he's certainly a keeper and I do like the idea of his little walnut shell house... Continued safe carving to you and keep on having fun.

                          Re: Nuts!

Steve I thank you for dedicating this little Santa to me. Hes carved then put in the shell right? That had to be super hard to do this,it means you had to hold the small Santa while carving him first before placing him in the shell.Holding such a tinny piece of wood carving it,is tough,I well know this but one thing?? You not only did this but in such very creative way with your carving talent and skills! To top it off, them you had to paint him.

You did a excellent job plus a very unique one on the little Santa and I thank you so much!!

Keep up this neat carving cause I more than enjoyed this little Santa in the walnut shell.

                          Your ole friend,Forrest
