  • LADY-BUG, LADY-BUG, fly away home . . . .

Hi, all. Just finished this little 'Lady-Bug'. Carved from basswood 6"x 5.5" x 1.75". It's for my expected Granddaughter's room. (Due Jan.2011) Theme is Lady-Bugs & Butterflies. Guess I'll have to do a charicature Butterfly next.

As always your comments are welcome.

        Dennis,
That is too cute! I am sure that when she gets older she sure will appreciate her grandfather's work.

Did you design the bug yourself or use a pattern?

And yes, now you need to do a butterfly. There may be a thread on the forum about butterflies.

Bob, Yes I designed this piece myself. I rarely use a published pattern. Mostly I draw my pieces full scale and make a pattern. I have done Butterflies in various styles. Will be doing a butterfly for her room as soon as my Christmas carving list is done.

Thanks to all for your comments.
