In my opinion, this is probably the best caricature carving scene of the year!
              Well done!

There are Carvings and then there are CARVINGS. Now this is a Carving . Love it.Just coming up with the idea is saying something. But to be able to carve it, is something else. What ever contest you enter you surely will win hands down. Ginny

                              Re: Bayou band in progress

Here is what I have planned for my next project. The band didn't make the cut so I have to get serious for the next competition...
Someone on the forum pointed me to an engine in LA. I'm going to take my photos and do the measurements on June 2nd. I should be able to get started shortly thereafter. It should be quite a challenge. I plan to carve the three horses as well as three fire fighters. I might even add a dog and a child running alongside.

Thanks for the kind words again,
                              Dan

                                Re: Bayou band in progress

Naw, that looks like a smoker BBQ on wheels. Can you imagine how many racks of ribs we could stuff into that thing? How come they haul a fire to a fire? I don't get it. Either that,or they are awful late for the party, cookin' on the fly.

Re The Band. The banjo player needs to pick a 5-string, but you put 6 pegs on the head. OOOps.
