Thanks everyone, for the kind remarks! I use the board as a sort of gauge to determine how successful a carving is. By the the time I finish one I am sick of looking at it! A warm response tells me I did something right, a tepid response motivates me to try harder. Either way Thankyou. Mark

That is outstanding Mark. I mean like outstanding in the garden.
Beautiful carving, and fantastic paint work on the apple. Nobody will see your garden, as they will be looking at the sign.
I like it, TomIf I took the time to fix all my mistakes, I wouldn,t have time to make new ones.

Thanks Tom and Josef! Bob the sign is pine one and a half inches thick. Routed the letters and outline of the flowers and then carved in the details on the flowers, frame is redwood. I used 3 coats of spar varnish satin finish. Mark
