Hey ya'll! Been ages since I have been able to post here! Summertime seems to be the busiest time at our house! I thought we would get some time to hang out and relax over the summer...boy was I wrong! But in any case, I did receive my latest WCI issue day before yesterday and instantly took it to the shop with me! My brother in laws birthday was yesterday (Sunday) and as of Saturday I did not have a gift for him-so! Needless to say when I saw the article with Marc Gargac's amazing little cork heads It was perfect! As I was carving I kept thinking of the last time I used a WCI carver's patterns...I kept thinking of "Marc Gargac's elves" It was crazy! why am I thinking of those...? Then I saw the name on the page and realized this article was by the man himself! Very cool! Anyway! this is my Bottle stopper. Definitely more folk art than skill, but I am happy with the end result. This size head is perfect for practicing. I seem to be at a Plataeu of sorts...I really want to try all these ideas ...but...but but!!! It will happen,I know it!

Thanx ya'll! He loves it! I was the only one who he got up and gave a hug to! And yes Christina-I am SO glad I am a carver!! Everyday! He DOES look like your Mt. Man! I guess I have a style then,eh?

Great to see you again as well! Giving is my favorite part! It's what makes being a woodcarver so worthwhile! To be able to give someone something that you made that they really and truly like, well that's an awesome connection you don't just find anywhere!
