Personally, I like this handle better than my last few attempts. It is red oak sandwiched between to pieces of poplar and will have a pair of initials added. The hardest part of the whole project was the leather sheath. Never tried that before, think I will keep the wood work instead. The spoon is my first attempt at really making a usable utensil. Feel free to offer suggestions to improve either or both.

The stitching wasnt too terribly bad, it was the shaping and getting the whole piece of leather arranged. Not sure the technical terms, but i drew out my pattern cut it down, tried to fit it, adjusted my cut, tried it again, then the stitching wasnt terrible, just wasnt great either.
