Hi Gang,
Here are a couple of pix of a set of chairs I am working on. Not sure yet if I am going to do four or six chairs. They are carved out of eastern white cedar and are high back chairs about four feet high on the backs. I was really inspired when I was at Ridgway this year by a carver by the name of Joe Rego. I wouldnt say that Joe is a woodspirit carver but his faces are absolutly remarkable. I was so inspired that I purchased a chair from him that I gave to my grandson. This is only the start of the carving and is just roughed out with a little detail. So far I have only about an hour of work into this carving. I will update this thread from time to time to show you my progress I have about fifteen carvings going on all at once now I really have a problem concentrating on one at a time. I bounce from one to another but I eventually get them all done. Of course any constructive feed back is appreciated I value your suggestions fully as you know.
Colin
