nice chairs. i have done one with a wolf on it. but my seat just goes thu the back with a 2x4 that the seat is mounted on. less wood and a whole lot lighter. you can see my wolf at :http://community.webshots.com/album/560407973VgrFfU

Great job, Colin. The uneven edges to the slab cut really adds to the piece. Aren't you lucky to have that available.

I did finish that one a long time ago and now have four more on the go. I did update the chairs but I have been so busy with commissions that I never did get them finished they are for my deck. I am doing a table as well but havent even started that yet. I hope to have these finished this week and when I do I will post a picture of the finished chairs.

Sorry Ron,
These are four eastern white cedar chairs the backs are about four feet tall and about 15 inches wide. The seat is like a stool with no sides. Each face is carved into the back of the chair where your back would rest if you were sitting down. One woodspirit has a long beard and moustache that flow evenly to both sides of his mouth. The next two have mostaches that look like they are blowing in the wind one left and the other right. The other has a short even mostache with a long beard with turned up eye brows. Hope this has explained them for you if not let me know and I will explain further.
