  • Santa ornament

I modified a pattern for painting a plate that my wife found in one of "her" magazines. I kind of like the natural wood look. It measures 1/4 X 4 x 4 1/2 and is carved from bass wood.

That's very nice....I really like the "flow" as an ornament. By the way - Happy Birthday.

      Don,

Very nice, I like the message it sends, great perspective in showing different Santa personality.

By the way, we need to hook up some day for a cup of coffee?

I agree the perspective of having more than just Santa really appeals to me I would never have thought of doing one like that. Again why this message board is such a great thing. Thanks for sharing that with us I think I might try a double woodspirit carving.

If you didn't make it for your wife, then you better not let her see it.
Great job with a dear concept.

                  Re: Santa ornament

Thanks for the compliments! I did a grayscale and attached the result if anyone wants to make a pattern of the ornament. The original was a lot larger and was designed for painting a plate. When I saw it I saw a neat looking Cristmas tree ornament. The copy is my own interpretation so I am not infinging on anyones pattern. Help yourself if you want to copy it. You should be able to manipulate the copy down to a size that you can work with then print it out for your pattern. Enjoy!
