Recently finished. This was a pretty fun one. Interesting to try to represent water in wood. Especially since a waterfall is usually more defined by the land around it, and since I was making a spoon, that kind added to the problem. Anyway, that part in the middle is intended as a rock, and the water splits when it hits it, then hits more rocks at the sides, pushing the water back together. Yes, it makes a heart - this was, after all, a lovespoon for a 5th anniversary (the "wood" anniversary).
Can't help but think if I'd sat down to draw this an hour earlier or an hour later or any other time, it would have come out completely differently. Lots of ways to approach a waterfall. All those different ways are all I seem to be able to think of now... oh well.
Anyway, critique welcome!
Oh - and it's from an old, really hard cherry floorboard, and I think about 13" long. I was fortunate it was such a hard piece of wood. I took advantage of the extra strength.
