That's coming along very nicely. Like the head shape, looks right.
If it will sit outdoors, have you got a choice of finishes?

Eric and Robson thanks for the encouragement! I think this will be an indoor sculpture, probably stain and satin poly finish? Also considering some kind of base...Mark

please no stain. walnut is so pretty when the lighter areas contrast with the dark. I dont even danish oil my walnut anymore.

Jartzh, thanks for taking the time to comment. I was wondering what you would recommend for a finish? I have usually applied a "natural" color stain as it seems to enhance the color and grain of the wood. And then several coats of poly or lacquer for luster and protection, I have not really tried many other finishes however. Thanks for any input on this. Mark
