First ball in a cage

It might not be the prettiest one but it has inspired me to try harder and maybe in future try a cage with twisted bars.

Not a thing wrong with your ball in a cage. Nice one. But they are habit forming :<).

A very good looking ball in cage. I, for one, don't see anything wrong with it. I like it.

Re: First ball in a cage
Looks good to me. I find a simple ball in cage to be a very satisfying carving and do one occasionally just for the joy of it, especially when I'm on a camping trip. Just need a block of wood and a pocket knife.
Nice work.

Re: First ball in a cage
A good start! There are some interesting ideas for variations in the Whittling section of the Carvers Galleries - twisted bars, etc.
