Working on a dragon holding a snake, protecting her egg. She is not being co-operative about coming out of the wood, but I will prevail!!!!!!!!!!!! She will not defeat me.........

That's a great looking dragon!
I enjoy carving dragons too; they're rife with possibilities because they're a mythical creature.
Something to consider:
There's hundreds of possibilities with the eyes. My preference is hematite beads, big enough to fill the eye, or proportionate sized marbles, or even reptile eyes from a taxidermy supply house.
Eyes on a dragon or any other carving can make the difference between someone noticing a carving....or noticing a dragon.
Not the gospel...just a thought.

Thanks for all the kinds words. Hi Kris, I know I haven't posted in a reaaalllllyyyy long time, but haven't been doing much of anything for awhile. Working on a Hussar Rider on a horse as well as this one and did a horses bust as well. As this girl comes along I will post. Will look into those eyes as well, thanks for that.
