    Thanks everyone! I was inspired looking at Jim Arnold's Chess sets. His Staunton designs are a thing of beauty, I'm happy if I captured 1/10th of his amazing work..

    Sorry for the delay, other projects and life intrude.. however here it is, the final white side of my "Everglades Chess"..








    The wood is simple Red Oak, the opposing side (once I start it) is going to be Burmese Blackwood.

    Thanks again for all the comments and suggestions, I'll be back in a month or so when I finish the other side.
