  • my summer project- finally done

I made this out of walnut that i found at a garage sale. I started the second week of june and have been working on it off and on until now. This was my first attempt at relief carving and I learned a lot of valuable lessons as I went along. I am pleased with the outcome. I figure it will look great in my man cave.

That turned out very nice! I like the dovetails too. Your box will look great, wherever you set it.

That is a nice project all the way around! The construction is beautiful on its own and the carving just pushes it over the edge.

Beautiful timber, exceptional jointing and superb carving! Too good for the old dusty man-cave

I hope the cigars you put in are worthy of the box. It'd be a shame to put Shwisher Sweets in there...

Looks way better than mine I have my hand rolled cigars in a plastic bin with humi packs. I like CAO Mx2 and Camacho maduro 5x55

Sweet! Nice job. The only suggestion I might make is that I think it would look better in my man cave. PM me and I'll give you the shipping info

Thanks for the kind words. I did use a router for the dovetails. I wanted to do them by hand but I am not there yet.

Don, I have the same humidor as you currently. That is why I made this one. I just got done lining it with Spanish cedar. That really finished it off.
