  • change on a magnet chaser

For one of my granddaughters, I had originally planned to do a magnet chase similar to what Ginny had been doing. I wasn't real happy with my results, and due to time constraints I decided to make a change. After I took this last picture, I laid the string around the cats back feet, back toward the ball and then under his belly. I didn't get anymore pics of it and now on its way to Hawaii.
I may try again after the first of the year.
    Criticizm and comments welcome.

Michael. your granddaughter is going to love this. Excellent carving. So how did the magnets work out? I finally gave up on them. just too hard to position the magnets just right to make them work real good. But looks like you did. Good for you. Ginny

Thanks Bob and Surfside, for the comments. I appreciate it.
Thanks Ginny. I wasn't happy with the placements of the magnets in the base, and because it's going to a military family, I decided that might make things more complicated on a move.
I put 5 magnets in the base, one in the center under the ball, and the other 4 at about
1" from center. I'm wondering if maybe the ball was too heavy to get it to dance around like I wanted it to, so I may try again after the holidays and maybe even put a magnet in the cats paw. At least it's something I'm thinking about.
