  • First Pyro attempt

Finally got my Razortip cranked up and decided to try a quick pc. Found a nice pc of Birch plywood at Lowes. Fairly happy as I have never used any wood burning tools before.

Did learn that the tips make a world of difference. I started out with a very sharp knife edge tip making feathers in the head... Did not like the results. Switched to some more rounded tips.

Anyway, I most likely should have bought a book but heck, I am a man, why read the instructions when you can just jump in with both feet.

Great first burning. Like any new skill, experiment with things, tips, heats, materials and effects. Practice, practice, practice. It's fun isn't it!? Smile

Greg, looks like you made a good solid landing on both your feet! (Even though I'd recommend ALWAYS reading the instructions, but you won't probably listen any better to that advice than my sons do!!Sarcastic ) Excellant start though, we'll look forward to seeing more! Thanks for sharing! Deborah

I like this, You have done a convincing job by using the grain to suggest ripples and break up the reflection
