gift for my niece from holiday issue 2012

Still need to finish painting this one. I might change the colors a little. I am not happy with the shade of the shoes or apron. Sealed the carving in BLO. had a few spots where i must have had my paint thinned too much; as it was bleeding. I will post pics when i finish, might be a few weeks.

If you have any tips for improving this please let me know. Thanks in advance.

personally I would be quite happy with the paint. I don't know how old yr niece is but I think a little girl would be elated. post when yr done.

Great job and I know she will love it...but her Mamma might just put it on a shelf and make her look at it instead of play with it, it is that good.

I just finished...added a little red to the apron color to get a more uniform look. changed the color of the leggings and shoes(due to paint bleed isuues). Larger images of this are in my gallery.
