    Just finishing up a big project that seemed to get bigger as I went.Sort of a "La Catrina" meets "Annie Oakley" mash up.5' 7" with base, Walnut,black locust,box elder,maple,oak and carob wood were used. Copper was used for earrings, belt buckle and part of base.Thanks for looking! Mark

            Thanks Tom.Strangely beautiful...yea....I think that's what I was going for.Greg I tried to keep the colors very subtle to allow the wood grain to show through...Thanks, Mark.

              And I thought my carving of women were scarey. My goodness that is awesome unusual but fine carveing and painting. WOW!

                I agree with all of the above and have to say you have created one of the most unusual and visually arresting pieces I have ever seen! What you did with the wood grains and textures is beyond fabulous!

                              Wow! That is quite a carving. She is well dressed and I like her gunbelt and buckle.

                              I wonder if she is calling her horse or chewing out her cowboy. LOL.
