    Re: rocking horse plans

Thanks so much for posting the picture of this rocking horse. People have been calling me wanting me to make them one. Ive been looking at several different types but just didn't like them. When I saw this one I knew it was perfect everyone loves it. I have decided to put it together useing 5/8 dowl rods and no screws. Ive come up with a way to attach the upright pieces to the seat but would like to know how the one in the picture is attached. Thanks so much again you can email if you like at [email protected]

    Rick

I made this one for my grandson for his 1st birthday. He is going on 4 now and still plays with it. My father in law made the original for my son over 30 yrs ago. I made a pattern from his and have made a couple dozen over the years. Its quite simple to make out of 2 X10 lumber.
I call it a "Shaker Childs" Rocking Horse. Let me know if this is what you are looking for, I can mail you the plans.

I appreciate it my big problem right now is size, I don't know if I should try and tailor it so shed can climb on it or larger so someone has to lift her up on it. always a problem
