  • Hiking Stick

    I started this project to enter in the fair, but it took so long I missed the deadline...maybe next year. Each section of the stick is supposed to symbolize something you might need on a long journey.Walnut and maple 6 feet tall. Thanks for looking! Mark

            Hi Mark, That is an outstanding piece of work, Excellent Detailing,also like your Idea on the Stick Stand. I know the Ribbon Winners at the Fair are glad you didn't make the dead line, you will get them next year. Merle

                That is a true one-of-a-kind stick. The design is unique and all yours. Merle is right, look out next year.

                  Thank you, Ron T, I really liked your Hawiian girl and was inspired to try using a female face and figure in my design. I wanted something other than a mountain man wood spirit type figure as well....Mark

                    Mark, I truly appreciate your very nice comment. I usually carve Native American Indians and women's faces provide a greater challenge. Good luck with your carving. She's coming along very well.
