I am still looking at this artik rose that we talked about about a month ago. I am of the impression he is using thin wood and then bending it and gluing it. the appearance is that of the paper roses. I have tried planning thin strips but still cant get them to bend without splitting even if I steam them etc. I am wondering what other thin bendable wood is out there? the only thing I can think of is the reeds they use for basket making. But there might be others if you know pls let me know this is killing me. !!!
