Wow! Really great, Di! The little fish and the octopus add a real touch of "realism" to the work.

Thanks everyone! It is a relief....although I thought I would feel joyous celebration....but I just jump into doing dragon.....major planning stage, cleaning the shop and getting ready to carve. He will be the next major project, just like this one. Figure,.. he will take as long as turtle....as it will have the same amount of details. so I am still rolling the ball....

Magnificent. Even found the Moray in its hole. You did it all with great detail.

Wish I could see it in person. Would be nice to view all the different parts of the carving. Love the turtle. The whole piece is something.....you must be very proud of how it turned out.

                  Re: Sea turtle: Major projects

Patrick the camera does it zero justice.....I am think about taking it down to the beach and photographing it there, in the future. Because it is so big it is hard to get clear photo. I am proud and shocked .... I can not believe it turned out like it did....because it was such a creative process ....in other words had no idea what the end result would look like. I just kept on deciding what to do as I went....some how it worked.
