First Attempt at Eyes

Hi There,

All my recent carvings have been done with the eyes in a closed position, and after watching 3 Crosses eye tutorial a few dozen times I decided to give it a shot on my latest wizard. The thing is I was so afraid of spending a lot of time on a piece an then ruining it at the last hurdle. I have gone for the simple eye for now and it's not turned out too bad. Hope you like him.

I would say that you did much more than attempt the eyes, I would say that you nailed them. Gary does an excellent tutorial doesn't he. Thanks for sharing.

I don't think you need worry about messing up a carving with your eyes anymore. You did a fabulous job. They look great!

Fantastic carving Peter, i have watched the same eye tutorial a few times but still a little bit scared to try it myself as yet as a novice i will maybe try it on some scrap wood first, what wood is your carving ? love it, cheers for now Pete.

your eyes and your spirit man are something to be proud of. Personally I could see me trying to copy him I think it is that good. so go for it and stand proud. youdid well.
