    Great carving, nice pictures of progress. You have a great carving there. I love carving butternut, nice to work with. I didn't know about the butternut stain for uniforms. Guess I learned something knew here today.

              In a word "amazing" such a powerful carving, that must have taken a lot of roughing out, what tools would you use to rough out such a piece ? cheers for now Pete.
