Batter Up!

Last month an old high school friend asked me to carve her something with a Red Sox baseball theme for a close friend of hers who has terminal cancer. My wife and I have been dealing with our own medical issues so work has been going pretty slow but a couple of days ago when I learned of the passing of "TN Artist" I got renewed impetus and last night I finished it up.

You know I took the loss of that "Old Marine" pretty hard!" I know he was pretty bad off but his passing still took me by surprise. He was a good man!

Anyway, I'll be getting this in the mail to my friend sometime this morning .

Good Job Eddy, and I'm sure it will be enjoyed . I felt the same as you Eddy about my Ole Friend Forrest, I also knew he wasn't well but was sure a shock, he will be missed. Merle

Great carving. That ole hillbilly touched a lot of people. It just shows how much like family wood carving friends become.
