  • the mouse

I have carved various things for my grand daughter and my son and his wife are always like "gee thanks" [read between the lines, you didn't buy something at saks or nordstroms] so this year I carved a little mouse, standing on his rear with his hand in the air, with pink tummy and pink feet and pink ears, and my grand daughter who got a whole bunch of really expensive dolls and such gravitates over to the little mouse and plays non stop with it for 3 days, leaving the expensive dolls to rust in their boxes. I wish I could see the look on my son and his wifes face. snoopy dance. cheers

How satisfying! You deserve a good gloat, Rick! Your granddaughter will prize your carvings long after the "store bought" junk is gone. Keep up the good work!

We tend to over complicate Christmas! Way to stick to your guns and provide a quality item made with love and care.
