Wine cabinet doors

Hello all,

I am getting back to carving after building a small model railroad layout for my son. Another new hobby that I have is wine making. The former owners of our house were woodworkers and they built a large cabinet in the lower level. We are using the cabinet for wine storage, and they left two compartments open. So I thought I would carve two basically identical doors for them.

Here is a picture of the start..

Thanks! And I will keep you updated. In December I finished a much larger project, which was a carved bench. This is smaller, but it still isn\'t really small.

That is one heck of a lot of intricate cutting with a saber saw. Thumbs Up. keep us posted. Speaking for myself, I would be lucky to finish a project like this in a year. . .JoeB

Thanks! It took around 20 hours to do all of the cutting.

And another of my progress. I carved around all 8 of the pierced parts, which took about 8 hours.

Thank you! I just put my creative thinking cap on and draw them.

I enjoy seeing a carving take shape after one of my designs.
