Second carved bed

Hello,

I guess I don\'t quit! I have designed the rails, foot board, head board and head posts for the carved bed that I am going to build for my son. This one is going to be in Norse styles, and will be twin size instead of queen like my last. The headboard is late Viking age Urnes style.

Today I got around 150 board feet of basswood, so I have a start.

Hello!

It has been a little while, but that doesn\'t mean that I haven\'t been working on this!

I finished getting all of the designs on all of the parts that will be carved.

Probably not 10-12 months, but maybe 6 or 7, so close guess! We will see about that. I built the last two pieces of carved furniture in 6 months.

I think this will actually be a bit less work than the previous carved bed, since the style is different.

And Joe, the other sleeps very well!

I will keep you updated!

Thanks! And it is. If I didn\'t have to work a full time job, I could probably make several per year.

But I don\'t do this for money.

And today I finished the cutting stage. It is a very dusty and noisy job, and so I am glad that it is finished! Now I get to clean my shop. Now I get to start the carving part.

Hi Clayton, you have definitely got a lot of Talent, Patience, Great Eye Site, and you put them all together and create a Wonderful piece of Art that will be enjoyed for years to come. A piece to be proud of making and using. Merle
