#1) The eye sockets were carved down deeper with a #9/20mm gouge. where the pencil is pointing is the area that I work at getting good, deep and clean. The area right where the bridge of the nose, inner brow, and inside corner of the eye meet, is the deepest cut that you make on faces.#2) Overview.#3) Close-up of the face, I took 320 grit sandpaper and went over the entire face, just enough to take off sharp edges and refine.#4) Progress.#5) The headdress is the area I will start to work on next and create some more shape in this area.
