Sorry guys, I was just joking. Never was very good at that I guess, always seem to tick someone off whenI try. But I do think its a really good carving as it is.

I wouldn't have asked if I didn't want your opinion from you and everyone else. Don't go beating up on yourself that's our job.

I am going to stain the back ground to kind of make everything else stand out. After that I will post a picture and ask for help as usual.

Very Good Job there. I carved a howling wolf once and it was a very difficult project to say the least.

What kind of finish are you going to put on it? Keep them coming....

Very good, Ron. I like it! Two things - you might want to consider lowering the hindquarters and back ahead of the hind just a tiny bit so you have maybe a one or two degree slope upwards from the hind to the shoulders.

Thing number 2 - see if you can make the tail bushier. Wolves have very bushy tails.

Great scenery! There's a spot or two on the hill back of my place that looks very much like what you've carved.

That's quite a carving Ron. I like the back drop with the moon and clouds. It gives the carving a kind of spooky or enchanting kind of look.

Ron it looks great, but as ash said, maybe a bit off behind the front legs to in front of the back legs, the chest and belly area, but a little off the front to a bit more off the back in front of the legs...if that makes any sense..also don't carve all the way up maybe a 1/4th.....so that where the bottom of the ribs are, they would stay as they are? But in reality, if you left it as it is, its amazing you can do that by feel! God bless Ron and Merry Christmas!Cowboy
