  • Two Projects Finished

    Hi all,
    Here is two projects I've finished It's been slow carving with spring busting around here at garden center. Here is to pic. To y'all new members I'm a newbie. The pic are a dog from a roughout from Mike Shipley and the other is
    a butternut shelf elf. Both are from Smokey Mtn WoodCarvers.

          Those are neat pieces. I'm partial to the shelf elf as I always wanted to try one. Y've been carving around the same length of time as myself. When do we start calling ourselves "newbies". I personally think you've reached a higher level. Maybe we can call ourselves "rookies" or "level two carvers" eh. There has been threads on this topic so I better let well enough alone.

              Nice pooch! I'm partial to Mike Shipley's characters. I finished the same dog back last fall. It was a lot of fun. I've got two of his other Ozark characters all cut out, just haven't found the time to work on them. I'm not familiar with the Shelf Elf. I'll have to check it out the next time that I visit Nawger Knob!
