Hi ,Randy , was a Fun Project , by making the Band Saw Cuts to start took a lot of time off . Might need to do another one , the 2 Daughters like it . Trying something different outside my Box , this will be a Big Challenge . Thanks Randy for your Encouragement . Merle

                            That is beautiful.

When you say "thought out." Does that mean you laid out 5 or 6 views on the wood block? Did it start out as a block? I've only done cars so far and that's the layout technique I use. I've been wanting try my hand at some wildlife. And was wondering if the techniques carried over.

Hi Clearhooter , the only Views I use is the Front and Side Views . The Thinking part is what to Carve First and how much Wood to remove for a Rough out . Thanks for Commenting . Merle

I saw the wood you started with on another post. Great concept. I like how the stand sweeps back and became part of the sculpture. Beautiful wood as well.
