Book on Power Carving

"Carving Realistic Faces with Power" by Frank C. Russell is a terrific resource for not only power carving faces, but also can be applied to regular hand carving. It was published in 1993. I love how it shows how to do eyes, nose, mouths, ears in very clear and easy to understand photos. Just thought I'd put this out there for anyone needing help with realistic features, whether by power or hand tool carving.

Even if you are not doing canes or sticks here are two more Frank Russell books that have good pattens and information on bird carving and animals carving with power. Also his DVD on power carving Fur,Feathers, And Fins.
Amazon has a selection of is books on power carving.
