    In the forum build your own burner look at posting #30 and #40, hope this helps you.. I live in Canada , I build two burners and used Colwood wires to the pen,eColwood replaceable tip pen, and Colwood replaceable tips, did each unit for under $100 Can $$

      I make my tips from Nichrome wire. This is the same type of wire used int he coils of heaters. You can get a spool of 16 ga nichrome that will last you a lifetime for under $20 US. http://jacobs-online.biz/nichrome_wire.htm

        Thanks for the reply, I gave up the ide of making my own tips as I have Colwood replaceable handle on my burners now, I like the system and I can buy a tip to suit what ever I need one for at reasonable cost
