12"x11"x1" , Basswood, Wood Burned , Colored with Colored Pencils. It's a Simple Design but turned out OK. The youngest Daughter put her claim on it already , that means the Oldest Daughter has to get an Eagle also, can't give one without giving the other . Merle 1-PICT0002.JPG1-PICT0002.JPG

Hi Kathy, the Daughters thought the last one was to Bright and this one suted my Youngest so it's hers and it goes with the one she got for Christmas. The Colored Pencils worked out nice ,you must use Spray Poly U and not Wipe On, I used Wipe On once and it wiped most of the Color off. Thanks Kathy for your Encouraging Words. Merle

Merle, you probably know this but there are two types of colored pencils one is watercolor pencils and the other is oil based pencils. I would think that the oil based pencils would be less likely for the colors to run. I have oil base colored pencils, but haven't used them on wood. I do like the result you got with your Eagle.

Hi Kathy, My Pencils are Multichrome coloring Pencils. I think they are Oil Based. It says you can blend with Turpentine by Dipping Pencil in Turpentine. They also have the Colors names on the Pencils , easy for me to tell the colors. Ha,Ha. I really didn't know they Water Base and Oil Base Pencils , learn something everyday. Thanks for your most welcome Comments. Merle
